Affiliate Membership
Affiliate membership is a specific membership category for persons practicing within recognized professions in the hunting, field guiding, or nature conservation environment.
Professional Hunter
Here we respect the qualifications and knowledge of our colleagues in the tourism and wildlife conservation environment by offering them an affordable option to, according to SA legislation, comply with the necessary requirements regarding firearm licenses and dedicated statuses under Section 16 of the Act.
This concession is only for licensed Professional Hunters.
Bosveld Hunters recognizes the training of this profession, and these members can obtain their Dedicated Hunter and/or Sport Shooter status by following a “Recognition of Prior Learning” process without having to complete the full courses.
This Member Type ends on the expiry date of the valid license or permit, unless the renewal is submitted in time to have the membership renewed for the following term.
Professional Hunters must, after selecting this Membership, upload the following documents in a legible, clear format to their MEMBER RECORD:
- A copy of the member’s VALID Professional Hunter’s License under UPLOAD DOCS.
This document must be updated before it expires to prevent suspension of this concessionary membership.

Field Guide

Field Guides must, after selecting this Membership, upload the following documents in a legible, clear format to their MEMBER RECORD:
- A copy of the member’s VALID Registration document from the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism under UPLOAD DOC’s.
This document must be updated before it expires to prevent suspension of this concessionary membership.

Nature Conservationist
Here we respect the qualifications and knowledge of our colleagues in the tourism and wildlife conservation environment by offering them an affordable option to, according to SA legislation, comply with the necessary requirements regarding firearm licenses and dedicated statuses under Section 16 of the Act.
Bosveld Hunters recognizes the training of this profession, and these members can obtain their Dedicated Hunter and/or Sport Shooter status by following a “Recognition of Prior Learning” process without having to complete the full courses.
This concession is only for appointed Nature Conservationists.
Nature Conservationists must, after selecting this Membership, upload the following documents in a legible, clear format to their MEMBER RECORD:
- A copy of a valid Appointment Certificate or document from the Department under which he/she is appointed or employed, under UPLOAD DOCS.
This document must be updated before it expires to prevent suspension of this concessionary membership.
